Human Tragedy of Immense Proportion: Bangladesh's coastal area was devastated by a Category IV Cyclone, nicknamed SIDR, on November 2007. SIDR struck with winds of 150 mph and left more than 3,500 dead; 1,000 missing, and 40,000 injured. A human tragedy is unfolding as more than 8.5 million people have been affected by the cyclone. Total loss has been estimated to be more than 2 billion dollars.
Your help is Needed: Imagine how long-drawn the process of rehabilitation of the SIDR victims could be in one of the poorest nations on earth considering that rehabilitation of Katrina victims is still continuing in the richest nation on earth.
