Utsav is a nonprofit, cultural organization involved in promoting Bengali culture in Sacramento valley. We have one common goal: creating a positive and enjoyable experience of friendship, happiness, and harmony via our Bengali heritage. To accomplish this goal, we need each and every one of our members' active participation.

Utsav is still in its infancy - only six years old. Utsav's first big event was Durgotsav 2002, after which we have successfully completed our fifth Durga Puja celebration in the Sacramento valley on October last year. Although Utsav is predominantly a Bengali organization so far, we hope to reach other communities as well. Membership to our organization is not limited to any particular race, religion or ethnic origin. In fact, more than 20% of our members are not of Bengali origin.
